World Heritage Briefing

EWH is offering a special afternoon briefing event for Edinburgh tour guides and front of house staff on Thursday 5th of March. The aim is to introduce why Edinburgh is a World Heritage Site and explain a little about how it is managed and conserved. There will also be an opportunity to hear from Professor Charles McKean about some of the latest historical research into the significance of the Old and New Towns.
Programme • 2.00pm World Heritage Explained – what is a World Heritage Site? Why is Edinburgh on the list? Adam Wilkinson, Director of Edinburgh World Heritage. • 2.15pm– Culture Clash: the real international significance of the Old and new Towns of Edinburgh.
