The coronavirus outbreak is having a major impact on many charities in the UK, and around the world. Quite apart from the human cost of the disease, the pandemic is also causing a significant financial impact which threatens the crucial work of many charities.
At Edinburgh World Heritage, fundraising events have had to be cancelled, our World Heritage exhibition and retail operation at the Tron has been closed, and important conservation work has been postponed. As a result, we expect to lose an important part of our income this year, and while we will make every effort to ‘cut our cloth according to our size’, the reality is that we, like others, face a significant financial gap.
We are therefore asking our friends and supporters to help us get through this period of uncertainty. If you support our conservation and community work in Edinburgh, please consider making a direct donation safely and securely here.
Alternatively, if you would like to talk to someone about making a donation, please get in touch via members@ewht.org.uk.
Thank you.
