Waste Collection Consultation

Have your say on waste issues in the World Heritage Site.

Jan 7, 2011

We want to get the views of residents and businesses within Edinburgh's World Heritage site about waste and recycling collection.

The Modernising Waste consultation aims to find solutions to waste issues such as:

* black bag collection at kerbsides

* seagulls and vermin ripping open kerbside bags and spreading waste into the streets

* increasing recycling and reducing landfill.

Your views will help to shape these changes. We need to find innovative solutions to the way waste is currently collected and processed.

Your views will help us to identify creative solutions. We would like you to complete an online survey before 28 January 2011.  All the information you may need is include in a fact sheet.

You can also pick up a copy at your local Council office or library, or print out a hard copy of the survey.  Completed surveys can be handed into any Council office, library or returned by post.

If you need further information please contact the council's Modernising Waste Team or phone on 0131 529 7310.
