Add a splash of colour to the World Heritage Site

EWH is asking children to get creative with a World Heritage Colouring Competition.

Nov 14, 2013

The competition is designed to raise awareness of the World Heritage Site with children colouring in scenes of the medieval Old Town and Georgian New Town. The Old Town scene shows Edinburgh in 1570, with the John Knox House and its then owner James Mossman and his wife. The New Town scene features a fashionable couple of 1820 parading down George Street.

The colouring sheets will be available in restaurants, cafes and other venues around the city centre, or directly from Edinburgh World Heritage.

Children can enter the competition by colouring in the Old and New Towns scenes, then scanning or taking a photo of their work and sending it to info@ewht.org.uk. We will add every entry to a gallery in the learning section of our website, and every month there will also be a small prize for our favourites.

The project has been kindly supported by Walter Scott & Partners Limited.
