Director's Notes - March 2014

Monthly update from EWH Director Adam Wilkinson.

Mar 31, 2014

World Heritage Day is nearly upon us. After the success of last year's exploration of the benefits of international cooperation, this year we are exploring the theme of our shared heritage, with the Director of the British Council in Scotland, Lloyd Anderson, and Sue Bruce the Chief Executive of the City of Edinburgh Council. We already have 200 guests registered for what will be a fascinating evening on the 16th April, but there is space for more yet!

This, however, is not the limit of our ambitions, and we are organising a series of walks around the city to explore our work with the city's history and heritage, led by our highly experienced team. Colleagues will also be tweeting like, well, tweeters, through the theme of Edinburgh Treasures, so please do follow us for updates.

We are looking forward to seeing many of you on and around the 16th, and hope that we can inspire you to explore the World Heritage Site on your doorstep.
