Director's Notes - May 2015

Monthly update from EWH Director Adam Wilkinson.

May 28, 2015

While we report on our activities through the enews – the projects that are happening in and around the World Heritage Site, the last couple of years have also seen a great deal of work in thinking about what the future might look like, and how EWH will fit in.

The process has helped us see which of our current activities will need to change and adapt over time, as well as identifying where there is a need that our skills and knowledge can help address. Our Chair, Willy has been at the heart of this process, enabling the team and board to step outside our comfort zones and ensure EWH is ready for the coming years.

With all this work under our collective belt, it is with some sadness that we will be saying goodbye to Willy at the end of his first term as chair in the Autumn. We have all enjoyed working with him and feel that he has really helped put EWH in a position to take advantage of the opportunities the future will bring. It will be for a new Chair to lead our most excellent board as we test, explore and build up our work in the coming years.

If you have the time, energy and interest to take on what is both a challenging and rewarding role, we’d like to hear from – expressions of interest should be directed to our Company Secretary, Mrs Caroline Sibbald, carolinesibbald@ewht.org.uk, 0131 220 7728.
