Property Repair and Maintenance Evening Event

Does your property need some TLC? Repair and ongoing maintenance of properties is becoming ever more critical...

This evening event in collaboration with the ESPC will offer building owners the tools required to assess their building’s condition, demonstrate how to carry out repairs and ensure correct maintenance of their property.

- find out the condition of your property
- find out the process required to repair and maintain your property
- learn what funding options are available to you
- get tips on getting your neighbours together to carry out the work
- speak with the professionals who can start you on the right track (opportunity after talks to discuss your queries)
- pick up information/leaflets to help

Jo Parry, Conservation Architect, Hypostyle Architects: Introduction, case studies & problems/solutions encountered
Richard Groom: Energy Efficiency within properties whilst making them wind and watertight
Devon DeCelles, Historic Environment Scotland: Advice on repair and maintenance, covering all areas of your building and HS Inform guides available
Marcus Paine, Stone Federation: Identifying defective stonework and the process of its repair/replacement
Steve Mclennan, LCA: Best roof repair practice
Simon Roberts, Scottish Government: The tenement act and encouraging owners to work with their neighbours
Dimitris Theodossopoulos, Edinburgh University: Problems and Remedies
