Edinburgh World Heritage - Who We Are

Who We Are

The EWH office at Acheson House.

Edinburgh World Heritage has a team of nine staff, supported by volunteers and interns.

The Director, Adam Wilkinson, is the leader and manager of Edinburgh World Heritage, with responsibility for providing executive leadership and delivering the overall success of EWH through effective external working and good internal organisational management.

The team of professionals have responsibilities across EWH’s main roles, in conservation, learning and planning, with skills in project management, conservation, interpretation and education, and urban design.

Chaired by Dr Brian Lang, EWH's Board of Trustees is responsible for the strategic direction of the organisation and the stewardship of public and charitably given funds. Trustees are appointed for their individual specialist skills and provide support and add value to the work of EWH.

Membership of the company is open to Directors and representatives of eligible residents' and amenity associations, which may nominate one person to become a member as its representative on the Trust. New directors or associations who wish to apply for membership must complete an application which is then considered by the Board. There are currently 35 members.
